The prosecution of seven Boğaziçi University students, facing the charge of ‘violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911’ due to protesting their friends’ detainment, started at Istanbul 48th Criminal Court of First Instance. The next hearing was scheduled to March 27, 2019.
22 Boğaziçi University students were detained after protesting a group celebrating the Afrin Operation of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and the Free Syrian Army on March 19, 2018 by distributing Turkish delights in the university campus. The detainments were later protested inside the campus on March 22.
